Meet people where they are.Candidates from underrepresented groups may not always come to you, especially if your industry has historically not been friendly to them. If you're looking to increase your team's diversity, invest in building long-term relationships with organizations that serve as resources for these communities, showing that you support their work and getting to know great candidates along the way.

Structure is your best friend.We're all biased; that's how our brains work. Once we learn more about our biases, we can put systems in place (like structured interview guides) that help us make decisions with rational business sense, not letting those biases play tricks on us. I've got several workshops on this topic.
